Connection to the collar either in the lab or in the field is via a laptop, the BlueSky Telemetry™ EC-2 Interface and either a dipole or 9 element yagi antenna at 433MHz.  The BlueSky Telemetry™ EC-2 Interface can either be provided to connect via a laptop's serial or USB port.  The 9 element yagi antenna is highly directional and extremely efficient in downloading data from distances up to 2000m while the dipole antenna will connect to a collar up to 50m distant line of sight. .

In the autumn 2006,  BlueSky Telemetry™ will be launching a complimentary interface that will transmit and receive within the range 138-180MHz and will link directly to a PDA
